Lauren M. Ilvento has been in the practice of law for over fourteen years. She focuses her practice in the areas of general business and corporate law, civil litigation, and international law.  She also practices family law, in particular with cases with international jurisdictional and business issues.


Throughout her practice, Ms. Ilvento has represented a wide variety of clients, from multinational corporations to local businesses to individuals. She has a broad variety of experience, including: establishing business entities throughout the world; resolving contractual and intellectual property disputes; drafting and reviewing business contracts; litigating commercial disputes; representing foreign clients in family law cases; engaging in due diligence in conjunction with multi-million dollar acquisitions; and assisting in the research and implementation of tax planning vehicles.


Ms. Ilvento has worked in firms both large and small, but her practice has always involved the representation of businesses and corporations.  Since 2002, when Ms. Ilvento relocated to Orlando, Florida, she practiced general business and corporate law and has provided general counsel services to small and medium-sized corporations. From 1998-2001, Ms. Ilvento practiced international corporate law with the Brussels (Belgium) office of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly, LLP and was a member of the Brussels Bar on the “B-List” for foreign attorneys. Prior to living in Belgium, Ms. Ilvento practiced law in Miami, Florida with the litigation firm of Haddad, Josephs, Jack, Gaebe & Markarian, P.A. Ms. Ilvento has practiced family law for U.S. and non-U.S. nationals since 2005.

Ms. Ilvento is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the Federal Courts of the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. She is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers. She is an active member of service organizations focused on the improving the quality of life for women and children, including the Junior League of Greater Orlando, and is currently President of the Kiwanis Club of North Orlando.


Ms. Ilvento earned her Juris Doctor degree with honors from The George Washington University National Law Center. While at the National Law Center, she was the Executive Articles Editor of The George Washington Journal of International Law and Economics. Ms. Ilvento also was a member of the Moot Court Board and participated in moot court competitions, including advancing through the local and national levels to compete in the international rounds of the Phillips C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition. Ms. Ilvento received her A.B. from Brown University with honors in International Relations and completed an honors thesis entitled, “European Political Union.” She also attended the prestigious Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Lyon, France for one academic year and is fluent in French.
